Ryanne E. Perio is a senior associate who focuses her practice on complex litigation in intellectual property and contractual disputes, with particular focus on copyright and trademark matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Perio served as a legal intern for SAG-AFTRA, where she investigated claims of delinquent residuals payments on behalf of the Guild, arbitrated claims against film producers and distributors, and won monetary awards for unpaid actors.
She also worked as a legal affairs intern at Atlantic Records, where she drafted licenses for the use of Atlantic artists’ music, images, and performances on television, in commercials, in print and online advertising, at concerts and festivals, and on compilation albums.
Lastly, she interned with a New York City entertainment attorney, where she registered artists’ copyrights in their music and gained experience drafting agreements for concert footage, liability insurance, and music licensing and streaming.
While pursuing her legal education, Ms. Perio served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Nathanial M. Gorton of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. During her time there, she assisted in preparing the judge for Rule 11, sentencing, scheduling, status, and revocation hearings, and also focused specifically on a dispositive motion in an immigration and prisoners’ rights case.
