
Sara’s practice focuses on representing federal, state, and private sector employees before the EEOC/OFO, MSPB, DC Office of Employee Appeals, DC Office of Human Rights, and in state and federal courts. Over the past several years, Sara has litigated discrimination, wage and hour, breach of contract, and constitutional claims under42 U.S.C. § 1983.
Sara has also represented federal and state employees in disciplinary matters and in wrongful termination cases. Sara works closely with her clients to obtain solutions-oriented results. Over the years, Sara has assisted many clients in obtaining substantial settlements and other favorable outcomes to their cases.
Prior to joining Alan Lescht & Associates, Sara clerked for The Honorable Brian F. Holeman of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. As a law clerk, Sara managed all aspects of a civil calendar of approximately 350 cases from initial scheduling conferences through post-trial motions hearings. Sara’s prior legal experience also includes representing plaintiffs in employment, civil rights, medical malpractice, and personal injury litigation in the District of Columbia.
Sara is an active member of the Washington, D.C. legal community. Currently, she is a member of the Communications Committee for the Washington Council of Lawyers and a member of the Membership Committee of the Trial Lawyers Association of Washington, D.C.
Prior to law school, Sara worked as an economic research analyst for a firm providing economic analysis in multi-million dollar antitrust and intellectual property litigation. Sara graduated magna cum laude from Tulane Law School and received her BA from Wellesley College, where she graduated with honors in Economics.
