Theodore R Updike began practicing in Tempe, Arizona in 1982. From early 1982 to late 1983 I was an associate of a small firm. In September, 1983 I opened up my own firm to fulfill my personal ambitions. For 25 years along with my law practice, I was a sports attorney representing professional baseball and football players.
I represented Major Leaguers Tim Salmon ( Angels), Mark Williamson (Orioles), Bob Patterson (Angels, Cubs), Pete Walker (Blue Jays), and NFL players James Washington (Rams, Cowboys, Redskins), Chuck Cecil (Packers, Cardinals, Oilers), and Anthony Parker (Colts, Chiefs, Buccaneers) among others.
My law practice has gravitated over the years due to my sports management practice (which I closed in September, 2007) but is primarily plaintiff Personal Injury, Estate Planning (Wills, Trusts, and supporting documents) Probate, and Business Organization (formation of LLC’s and corporations). My office is located in Mesa, Arizona near the 60 freeway and Alma School Road.
It is my belief that in the practice of the law nothing substitutes for treating clients the way you would want to be treated if you were in their shoes. I take great pride in the professional skills honed during my career.
