She grew up in Southern California and Arizona. She attended San Jose State University and completed her Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with a Minor in Criminology. I later attended the McGeorge School of law in Sacramento, California to obtain a degree in law. She began working for a law firm in Sacramento even before her graduation.
